New Delhi: Virat Kohli ended his draught of centuries with a brilliant 122*  off 61 balls against Afghanistan in the Super Four stage of the ongoing Asia Cup.

Kohli looked in form throughout his innings and his celebration after he crossing over the 100-run mark showed that a weight has been lifted off his shoulders.

It is noteworthy that this is Kohli's 71st century and his first in T20s, the shortest format of the game.

Kohli's return to form would also lead to the Indian cricket team management breathing a sigh of relief as it has months before the upcoming T20 Cricket World Cup.

Meanwhile, India registered a total of 212 for the loss of two wickets in the 20 overs. KL Rahul scored 62(41), and wicket keeper batsman Rishabh Pant scored a quick fire 20* off 16 balls to make India cross the 200 mark. Suryakumar Yadav was the sole disappointment from the Indian batting line-up as he could only manage to score 6 runs off the 2 balls that he faced.

Afghanistan have to score 213 in 20 overs to win the match to enable them to proceed to the next stage.
