New Delhi: Pakistan’s behaviour over cricket matches against neighbouring counties – India and Afghanistan has embarrassed the entire cricketing community.

After unleashing violence on August 28 in UK's Leicester after India won the match against Pakistan in Asia Cup 2022, Pakistanis ran propaganda against Indian bowler Arshdeep Singh calling him Khalistani.

Leave fans, Pakistani cricketers have also forgotten the sporting spirit. In Wednesday's match against Afghanistan, Pakistani batter Asif Ali threatened Afghanistan fast bowler Fareed Ahmad to hit with his bat after he had been dismissed.

This incident triggered unrest between fans of both countries who unleashed violence on each other both inside and outside the stadium.

Several Afghanistan fans were detained by the Sharjah police following the incident. However, no arrests were made.

Tempers flared as soon as Pakistan brought up victory in dramatic fashion courtesy Naseem Shah's twin sixes in the final over. In the aftermath, fans, believed to be Afghanistan supporters, began throwing punches at people wearing Pakistan jerseys.

Former Afghanistan Cricket Board CEO Shafiq Stanikzai called for a ban on Asif for his aggression.

"This is stupidity at extreme level by Asif Ali and should be banned from the rest of the tournament, any bowler has the right to celebrate but being physical is not acceptable at all," Stanikzai tweeted.

Following the clashes in the stadium, Afghan people were also seen beating Pakistanis on the streets of Peshawar in Pakistan.
