Kumar Vishwas warns Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann

On Wednesday, Punjab police knocked the door of former Aam Aadmi Party leader and poet Kumar Vishwas. Punjab Police has booked Vishwas for his remarks on Aam Aadmi Party's National convener and Delhi's Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal during the Punjab assembly election.

Vishwas took to Twitter and shared the photographs of police personnel at his residence in Ghaziabad and warned Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann.

Vishwas said, "I am cautioning Bhagwant Mann, once inducted by me in Aam Aadmi Party, the person sitting in Delhi, whom you are letting play with the power given by people of Punjab, will betray both you and Punjab one day. The country should mark my words."

A Punjab police team reached his residence to serve notice asking him to join the investigation. A case was registered against Vishwas in Ropar district of Punjab under sections 153, 323, 341, 505, 506, and 120B of IPC.

During the last phase of the Punjab assembly election, Vishwas, recalling his past conversations with Kejriwal, created a furor with his indirect remarks alleging him to have relations with banned Khalistani groups. Later, Vishwas was provided 'Y' category security by the Ministry of Home Affairs, with a promise for further investigation into the matter.

Opposition parties have attacked the Punjab government, accusing it of misusing the police for political vendetta.
