Shruti Sharma has topped the civil services examination 2021, securing All India Rank 1.
Shruti is an alumnus of St Stephens College and Jawaharlal Nehru University and has been preparing for the UPSC Civil Services exam at Jamia Millia Islamia Residential Coaching Academy. She has been training with Jamia for the exam. She is a Delhi resident.
While Shruti Sharma has topped the examination, Ankita Agarwal and Gamini Singla have secured the second and third rank, respectively, the Commission said.
On Monday, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the final result of the Civil Services Exam- 2021.
As many as 685 candidates have qualified for the prestigious test, it said, without sharing further details of candidates selected in the examination.
Of the successful candidates, 244 are from the general category, 73 from Economically Weaker Sections, 203 of Other Backward Classes, 105 from Scheduled Caste, 73 from the EWS category, and 60 from the Scheduled Tribes, the Commission said.
The UPSC Civil Services 2021 exams began on October 10, 2021, with the preliminary exam. The Mains exam was conducted on January 7, 8, 9, 15, and 16, 2022. The qualified candidates then appeared for the interview round from April 5 to May 26, 2022.
