New Delhi: In the Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections held on November 12, Congress is set to return to power in Himachal Pradesh, according to Aaj Tak Axis My India Exit Poll.
Among 68 seats, Congress is projected to win 30-40 seats, while BJP to get around 24-34 assembly seats and others could get 4-8 seats.
Congress is projected to receive 44% of the vote share, while BJP is estimated to gain around 42%.
BJP had projected its Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur as the CM face in the 2022 elections also.
Over 74 per cent voter turnout was recorded in Himachal Pradesh. In 2017, the turnout was recorded at 75.6 per cent.
In 2017, BJP came to power by winning 45 seats while Congress won 20 seats.
