New Delhi: Ignoring the geopolitical situation behind rising inflation worldwide, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal once again tried to mislead people and journalists saying that 'Operation Lotus' by BJP is the main reason for rising inflation in the country.
Kejriwal, who was once an Indian Revenue Service officer, was asked about the political crisis in Goa where several Congress legislatures have joined the ruling BJP Party.
Kejriwal accused BJP of siphoning off public money worth thousands of crores through 'Operation Lotus' for buying MLAs/MPs.
This is why inflation is rising in the country, claimed Kejriwal.
Kejriwal claimed that the BJP approached 10 MLAs of the AAP government in Punjab and alleged it was buying MLAs and breaking governments.
The ruling AAP in Punjab on Tuesday accused the BJP of offering Rs 20-25 crore each to its MLAs in an attempt to topple the Bhagwant Mann government in the state.
'Operation Lotus' a is term loosely used by opposition parties, accusing BJP of playing foul politics by poaching or buying other party members either to make or break the government by the alleged misuse of central agencies like CBI, ED, and IT department.
