New Delhi: In the ensuing gunbattle, one terrorist has been neutralised and 1 more is likely to be injured, the Indian Army said Saturday morning.
"Recoveries made so far include one AK56, 4 Mags of AK, 56 rounds of AK, 1x9mm Pistol with Mag, 3 grenades & and ammunition pouch. The identity of the neutralised terrorist is being ascertained. Operation is underway," added the Indian Army.
According to a defence spokesperson, contact was been established with hiding terrorists around 1.15 am on Saturday.
Ealier on Friday, Five army personnel were killed and a major-rank officer injured in an explosion triggered by terrorists in the densely forested Kandi area in the Rajouri district where an operation was underway to flush out terrorists.
