New Delhi: The special CBI court on Monday sent former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in judicial custody till March 20 in the alleged liquor scam.
Sisodia was produced before special judge M K Nagpal on expiry of his seven-day custodial interrogation allowed by the court earlier.

The court said that the application for judicial custody has been filed wherein the CBI has made the submission that the police custody is not required for time being and may be sought later, if required.
“In view of the submission made, Sisodia is remanded to Judicial custody till March 20,” Justice Nagpal said.
However, Sisodia's bail application is listed for a hearing on March 10.

The court directed jail superintendent to consider the request of keeping Sisodia in vipaasana (meditation) cell.
The special court also allowed Sisodia's application for diary, pen, Bhagwat Gita and spectacles besides the medicines as prescribed in his MLC conducted by CBI officials.
The CBI last week arrested Sisodia in connection with alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the now-scrapped liquor policy for 2021-22.
