Shimla: Salaries of over 12,000 employees of state-owned road transport corporation for May were delayed by two weeks, but the issue has now been resolved, an official said.
The salaries of employees of Himachal Roadways Transport Corporation (HRTC), which are normally dispatched on the first of every month, were received on June 14 after the employees flagged the issue.
Secretary of Joint Coordination Committee of HRTC Kamlender Gupta said the employees' salaries were delayed, and the issue was discussed with the managing director of HRTC.
However, on Thursday, Gupta told PTI that the matter has been resolved and salaries were received on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, in a tweet, late on Wednesday evening, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said all employees were being paid on time.
"All government employees of Himachal Pradesh are getting paid well on time as per the schedule. A manipulated campaign is being run from Delhi to malign the image of Himachal Pradesh," Sukhu tweeted. All Govt

Earlier on May 18, the Chief Minister had announced that the overtime and night allowance of the drivers and conductors of HRTC, amounting to Rs. 11 crore, would be paid in in two installments within a period of two months.
The allowances were pending for the past 43 months and the announcement came after the HRTC unions threatened to stop night service.
Sukhu had also announced the release of three per cent Dearness Allowance to the employees and pensioners of HRTC, besides clearing their medical reimbursement bills.
