Over 63,000 students scored above 95% in the CBSE Class 10 boards examination

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the Class 10th result 2022 on the official website.

Results for the Class 10 term 2 board examination can be accessed at https://cbseresults.nic.in/, https://cbse.digitallocker.gov.in/ and https://www.cbse.gov.in/ and other websites.

Over 63,000 students have scored above 95% in the examination while 2.36 lakh got more than 90%.

The overall pass percentage in Class 10 results stood at 94.40%.

The pass percentage of girls stood at 95.21 per cent while 93.80 per cent of boys cleared the exam. The pass percentage of transgender candidates is 90 per cent.

A total of 21,16,209 students appeared for the Class 10 term 2 board exam, held from April 26 to May 24.

Region wise Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala recorded the highest pass percentage at 99.68%. The lowest pass percentage is 82.23% (Guwahati).

1,07,689 students have been placed on compartment this year as compared to 17,636 in 2021.

"We had to prepare the results based on the Term-1 & Term-2 exams. We released the results ahead of expected date. We always try to declare the results in time so that students can take admissions in a hassle-free manner" Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, CBSE said.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct class 10 and 12 exams for the 2022-23 academic session from February 15 next year Bhardwaj said.

Unlike last year, there will be only one exam at the end of the academic session in 2023.

"In light of the lessening of impact of the Covid pandemic across the globe, the board has decided to conduct the 2023 examination from February 15, 2023," Bhardwaj said.

"CBSE has decided to go back to the conventional practice of holding board exams once a year. In 2022, in view of COVID-19, these exams were conducted in two terms," Bhardwaj had earlier said.
