New Delhi: The news of Food delivery giant Uber Eats delivering Marijuana in Toronto is absolutely true as the brand has confirmed that they are soon going to start delivering marijuana to those who are over 19 years of age.

Food delivery giant Uber Eats has entered into a partnership with Leafy and through this partnership, people will be able to order marijuana online and get it delivered to their doorstep. The users will be warned of being of legal age when they search for and order the product.

Moreover, the cannabis will be delivered only by the retailer’s staff. People delivering it will check the age and sobriety of the customer before handing over the package and this exchange will follow all protocols of Canadian law.

Three major retailers, Shivaa’s Rose, Minerva Cannabis and hidden Leaf Cannabis will provide the cannabis for sale and delivery.

Earlier too Uber Eats had partnered with another cannabis retailer in Ontario but the catch here was that the customers had to pick their orders on their own.

Lola Kassim, the general manager of Uber Eats Canada said that through this partnership, they are trying to help retailers provide convenient and safe options to purchase cannabis. Additionally, the doorstep delivery service will reduce the risk of impaired driving.
