New Delhi: Currently no tsunami threat to Eastern Mediterranean after 7.7, 7.6 earthquakes jolt southern Turkey on Monday, said Turkish disaster agency.
After 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit Turkey and Syria early Monday morning, another fresh earthquake of magnitude 7.6 struck Elbistan district in Kahramanmaraş Province in southern Turkey, Damascus, Latakia, other Syrian provinces.

The U.S. Geological Survey recorded the magnitude of the latest shock that occurred around 1024 GMT at 7.5 magnitude, with a depth of just 10 kilometers. Shallow earthquakes cause more damage.
More than 3,400 deaths have already been reported from both the counties after early morning jolt.
