New Delhi: Pakistan police detained the gunman, who opened fire on Pakistan’s former prime minister Imran Khan’s container in Wazirabad.
Khan was hit in the right leg by the bullet during a rally.
Shooter has been identified as M Naveed son of M Bashir and resident of Sodhra, Wazirabad. He was arrested with a 9mm pistol and 2 empty mags.
The PTI workers were seen beating up the assailant when he was being taken away by the police.

The incident took place near Allahwala Chowk of Wazirabad town of Punjab.
Former Governor Sindh Imran Ismail said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan got three bullet injuries on his right leg but he is out of danger now and after the attack Khan was more concerned about other injured people. He blamed Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah for the incident, tweeted Pakistan's senior journalist Hamid Mir.
There are also reports that Khan’s close aide Senator Faisal Javed was also injured in the attack.
Police took the shooter arrested after Imran Khan attacked at some unknown place.
