According to the data, 60% of doctors spent more than 8 hours a day during the second wave on online consultations for COVID-19, as the demand for teleconsultations increased by 771% compared to the pre-pandemic period.
50% of doctors on average spent 8 Hours per day only on teleconsultation in the last 2 years, whereas 35% of doctors in India consulted patients online for more than 12 hours per day, despite mental and physical exhaustion, as per the data.
Despite working round the clock in hospitals, and doing duty for extra hours. Doctors spent an average of 1.5 hours between 12 AM - 5 AM, providing online consultations to those in urgent need of medical assistance. Along with a 350% increase in the Night consultation.
Doctors did patiently listen and advised patients to deal with Covid-19 and 7 minutes to 30 minutes was the average consultation time range.
