Jamie Foxx recovering from a medical complication, says daughter

Los Angeles: Hollywood star Jamie Foxx is on his way to recovery after going through a medical condition, his daughter Corinne Foxx said.

The 29-year-old actor released a statement on her Instagram on Wednesday, “We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.” "We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time," she added.

The Oscar winner, 55, was recently seen shooting the upcoming Netflix film "Back in Action" in Atlanta, entertainment website The Hollywood Reporter said.

"Back in Action" reunites Foxx with Cameron Diaz, who took an eight-year break from acting before Foxx convinced her for the action comedy. Diaz last worked with Foxx in 2014's "Annie". They also starred in 1999’s "Any Given Sunday".

The film is directed by Seth Gordon and also features Glenn Close.
