New Update
IKEA Store in India

On Saturday, Bengaluru witnessed a huge crowd outside the newly opened IKEA store which opened at Nagasandra on June 22.

The largest IKEA store in India spread over 12.2 acres.

The 4,60,000 sq ft Nagasandra store features more than 7,000 well-designed home furnishing products along with 65-plus room sets.

All the roads leading to Ikea Bangalore were clogged with traffic this Saturday.
But this is not the first time. Previously, when Ikea stores were opened in Hyderabad and Mumbai, they also became an instant hit among consumers, who thronged to IKEA stores in large numbers.

The global furnishings brand entered the Indian market in 2018 and since then, it has been a one-stop destination for all those obsessed with having ideas of good design furniture and other home-related daily necessity products.

IKEA is known throughout the world for its massive stores. The Swedish furniture brand sells a wide range of furniture and home products. They even make sure to change most of the items available in their catalogue with regular innovation, research and development. Moreover, half of its products remain on sale throughout the year.

The unique selling point of IKEA is low prices and flat pack furniture which is economical for customers and easy to transport. Cheap prices of IKEA furniture offer value to customers.

Another strength of IKEA as a business model is that they promote DIY or Do It Yourself culture, by supplying ready-to-assemble furniture which can be easily constructed by a commoner or non-professional.

The colourful and wide range of products and its cheap prices make IKEA such a sought-after choice for customers.

The way Indians buy furniture has changed over the years therefore the hype and popularity of stores like IKEA have increased.

IKEA also provides online shopping options. The digital store offers more than 1,000 products, including decor accessories, storage boxes, trays, and even doormats. What's better‚ there are already products on discount including wardrobes, drawers, bed sheets, mattresses, and sofas.

Until a few years ago, most would either call their local carpenter or head to the nearest furniture market. Now, customers have switched to online furniture shopping, which they find convenient and hassle-free.

Not just shopping, IKEA gives its customers a wholesome experience, as all the stores in India have a separate cafeteria where people before or after shopping can eat, chill and relax with their family.
