New Delhi: RPG Enterprises Chairman Harsh Goenka, one of the richest business tycoons from India, through his ‘humorous’ tweet ridiculed Indians attending the World Economic Forum (WEF) taking place at Davos in Switzerland.
In what he called an ‘insider view’ on what Indian businessmen do after spending Rs 1.7 crore to go to Davos, Goenka almost hinted that attending WEF is more of a status symbol.
Below are the reasons Goenka feel why Indians spend a huge amount of money to attend WEF:
1. Let everyone know they are in Davos -a wonderful status symbol
2. Find ways to get private time with visiting Indian politicians
3. Surprisingly networking is amongst their own Indian ilk
4. IT leaders hunt for meetings with Fortune 500 leaders
5. All hustle for an invite to the ‘happening’ dinners
6. Give interviews to Indian journalists
7. Fondue and raclette for dinner preferred
8. Staying at the right hotel is very important - Hotel Belvedere #1 choice
