CBRE, Save the Children partner to support 3 lakh labourers in accessing quality health, education, food

New Delhi: As part of its CSR initiatives, real estate consultant CBRE India will support around 3 lakh labourers in getting quality health service, education and nutritional food with an initial corpus of Rs 5 crore to be scaled up to Rs 15 crore.

In October 2019, CBRE announced its CSR wing for India with an initial corpus of Rs 5 crore to address health and nutrition issues of construction labourers and their families on project sites.

On Tuesday, the company announced the launch of its CSR initiative CBRE Cares - 'Ek Pehal' for migrant labourers and their families with a child rights organisation Bal Raksha Bharat (Save the Children) across cities, including Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, and Pune.

It aims to support around 3 lakh labourers with access to quality health services, formal education, and enhanced nutritional standards, with Bal Raksha Bharat as implementing partner along with government support in the coming years.

Commenting on the partnership, Sudarshan Suchi, CEO of Save the Children, said it has partnered for the second year in a row with CBRE for 'Ek Pehal'.

Through the partnership, Bal Raksha Bharat will support CBRE in its key objectives, including prioritising urban malnutrition in children and women across intervention locations and addressing the learning gaps through Catch Up Clubs (CUCs).
