New Delhi: Vikram Pawah, President, BMW Group India, launched the petrol and diesel variants of sports activity vehicle (SAV) BMW X1 at an event in Bengaluru on Saturday.
While the petrol variant will cost Rs 45.9 lakhs, the diesel variant comes with a price tag of Rs 47.9 lakhs (both ex-showroom).
The BMW X1 sDrive 18d M Sport is powered by a 1,995 cc four-cylinder diesel engine which produces 148 hp, enabling the car to sprint from 0 to 100 km/hr in 8.9 seconds.
The petrol version, BMW X1 sDrive 18i xLine, is powered by 1,499 cc three-cylinder petrol engine which produces 134 hp, and the car can go from 0 to 100 km/hr in 9.2 seconds.
Locally produced at BMW Group Plant Chennai, deliveries for the diesel version will commence from March onwards and for the BMW X1 petrol version from June.
