Bengaluru: Ahead of the biggest ever Amazon Prime Day sale on July 23 & 24, 2022, Amazon India has launched 5 new artisanal brands under the Amazon Karigar program on the marketplace.
This includes brands like SuTa, Karagiri, Aditri, Tjori and Koskii. With the launch of these brands on Amazon, customers can shop for authentic Indian artisanal products like women’s wear and accessories.
These authentic emerging Indian brands aim to inspire, empower and expand economic opportunities for the artisan and weaver communities associated with them.
Prime members can ‘Discover Joy’, and additional benefits on the Prime Day sale event.
The amazon Karigar program brands are launching 1000+ new products with contemporary designs. In addition, artisans and weavers from Amazon Karigar offer a selection of over 470 crafts like Handblock printed sarees & furnishings, Rajasthani kathputlis, Kanjivaram sarees, and Dhokra figurines, amongst others, from across India.
Launched in 2017, the Amazon Karigar program has onboarded more than 4500 sellers including master weavers, co-operatives, artisans, brands and APEX bodies to sell online. It has made a difference in the lives of over 15 lakh artisans and weavers across India.
Amazon. in has also partnered with over 30 Government Emporiums and 5 Government bodies to showcase authentic crafts to craft lovers and increase market connectivity.
Today, Karigar showcases over 2 lakhs+ products, including 470+ unique arts and crafts from across the country. These brands by launching on Amazon will get wider access to the market base, bringing great recognition of craftsmen to work associated with them, and creating more employment opportunities in the process.
On the Prime Day sale, Prime members will have the opportunity to discover deals and a wide range of products across categories including beauty, fashion, electronics, and home décor from sellers under various programs such as Local Shops on Amazon, Amazon Launchpad, Amazon Saheli and Amazon Karigar.
The Amazon sale starts at 12:00 AM on July 23 and will run through 11:59 PM on July 24.
