New Delhi: Shares of Adani Green Energy climbed nearly 3 per cent on Tuesday after the company posted a four-fold rise in its consolidated net profit for the March quarter.
The stock ended 2.47 per cent higher at Rs 974.10 on the BSE. During the day, it climbed 4.99 per cent to Rs 998.10.
At the NSE, it gained 2.73 per cent to settle at Rs 977.
The company's market valuation went up by Rs 3,722.48 crore to Rs 1,54,300.60 crore.
In traded volume terms, 3.10 lakh shares of the company were traded on the BSE and over 33.23 lakh shares on the NSE during the trade.
Adani Green Energy on Monday posted a four-fold rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 507 crore for the March quarter compared to the year-ago period mainly on the back of higher revenues.
The consolidated net profit of the company was Rs 121 crore in the quarter ended on March 31, 2022, a BSE filing stated.
Total income of the company rose to Rs 2,988 crore in the quarter from Rs 1,587 crore in the same period a year ago.
